Job Title:
Industrial / Methods Engineer – Line Balancing & Process Sheets (Temporary 2-12 months)

Key Responsibilities
- Process Sheets & Work Instructions (Methodist Role):
- Draft, update, and deploy comprehensive
Process Sheets
(SOS/SOP/Standard Work Combination Sheets) for every workstation, detailing assembly steps, safety guidelines, tool usage, and quality checkpoints.
- Define standard work methods and ergonomic posture requirements directly on the shop floor to ensure repeatable quality and operator safety.
- Time Analysis & Line Balancing (Saturation):
- Conduct rigorous time and motion studies (MTM, MOST, Stopwatch timing) across all workstations to capture standard cycle times.
- Analyze workstation saturation levels and perform
line balancing
against Takt time to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize non-value-added time (NVA), and optimize operator workloads.
- Line Observation & Standard Cycle Definition:
- Perform gemba walks to observe presente line execution, verifying sequence dependencies and resource allocation.
- Define standard production cycles and integrate quality control plans into each assembly station.
- Shopfloor Verification & Plant Sign-off:
- Validate cycle times directly on the line alongside operators and shift supervisors.
- Secure formal plant sign-off via Approved Validation Sheets after line balancing adjustments.
- SAP Routing & Data Master Integration:
- Format and upload verified cycle times into
SAP routings
and Work Order parameters, ensuring 100% data integrity between physical shopfloor performance and ERP systems.
- Audit post-upload transaction evidence for operational handover to process owners.
- Continuous Improvement (WCM Focus):
Drive line efficiency and waste reduction initiatives using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools, specifically within the Work Place Integration (WPI) and Industrial Engineering (IE) pillars.
