Position Summary:
Transportation Buyer / Logistics Procurement Specialist:
The Transportation Buyer is a regional procurement specialist responsible for sourcing and managing transportation and logistics services across YNCA. This role provides expertise in transportation commodities, supplier management, market analysis, and logistics procurement strategies.

The position collaborates with Logistics Operations, Central Logistics Engineering, Business Units, and Finance teams to identify competitive suppliers and drive improvements in cost, service, quality,



and operational stability.

The main objectives of this position are to optimize transportation costs, improve supplier performance, ensure supply continuity, and support strategic sourcing initiatives across YNCA logistics operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare procure strategies of transportation modes: road freight, sea, air
- Provide expertise to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality, and service.
- Researching, selecting, and purchasing Competitive Transportation Providers
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best prices
- Lead improvement activities and workshops
- Communicate globally (Spanish/English): verbal, written and in person (present)
- Work independently
- Processing requisitions and updating management on the status of orders
- Support the identification of new supplier, services, and integration.
