Industrial Estimator

EFX Industrial is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Industrial Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for reviewing project documents, developing accurate cost estimates, preparing competitive proposals, and supporting projects from the bidding stage through award.

Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
- Prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
- Perform material takeoffs and develop accurate project quantities.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, clarifications, and scope gaps.
- Prepare professional estimates, proposals, and bid packages.
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, vendors, and customers.
- Maintain organized estimating files and historical cost information.
- Assist with change-order pricing and project cost evaluations.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks when required.




- Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
- Previous estimating experience in industrial construction, fabrication, mechanical, piping, structural steel, or related work preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong understanding of labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industrial construction practices and safety requirements is a plus.
