Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Finance Department, responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local tax regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role reports to the Accounting Supervisor and may supervise junior accounting staff. The Senior Accountant collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Tax, Operations, and Audit, and serves as a resource for financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement.

Duties:
- Key Responsibilities- 70% Financial Reporting & Compliance- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS and local regulations.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, posting journal entries and adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate and participate in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.




- Prepare documentation and support for external and internal audits.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard financial information.

5% Tax & Regulatory- Prepare and review tax accruals, payments, and related journal entries. (including payroll, social security, and local/state taxes).
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and support corporate tax matters.

10 % Analysis & Process Improvement- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support budgeting and strategic planning.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

10% Team Leadership & Collaboration- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Tax, IT) to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
