BOOKKEEPER & US PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Location: Remote - Mexico
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, aligned with Chicago business hours
Starting Pay: $7 USD per hour, approximately $122 MXN per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & US Payroll Specialist to support a growing U.S.based construction and home-services company.

You will be responsible for daily bookkeeping, U.S. payroll processing, customer payments, vendor bills, account reconciliations, and construction job-cost tracking.

This position is idóneo for someone who is accurate, organized, trustworthy, and comfortable following up with employees and managers when information is incomplete.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

BOOKKEEPING
- Record and categorize daily income and expenses
- Monitor bank and credit card transactions
- Enter vendor invoices and subcontractor bills
- Organize receipts and supporting financial documents
- Follow up on missing receipts or transaction details
- Maintain accurate and current accounting records





US PAYROLL
- Process weekly or biweekly payroll for U.S.based employees
- Review employee timesheets and hours worked
- Verify regular hours, overtime, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and approved deductions
- Follow up with managers regarding missing or incorrect payroll information
- Maintain confidential employee and payroll records
- Process payroll corrections and adjustments when necessary
- Coordinate with management and the payroll provider before payments are processed
- Support year-end payroll reporting and employee tax-document preparation

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
- Create and send accurate customer invoices
- Record payments received by check, credit card, financing, ACH, or other approved methods
- Track unpaid invoices and outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate customer account records

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
- Enter and organize vendor and subcontractor bills
- Match bills with purchase orde
