Localization Project Manager

Come join the Games Localization team at Lionbridge Games and be a part of the fascinating process of creating new language versions for games. You’ll be joining a group of people working from different parts of South America, North America, Europe, Asia, as well as the global Lionbridge Gaming team from all over the world.

What You Will Do:

As Project Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of localization projects for clients from the gaming industry. Our team delivers translations and works alongside audio, testing and technical teams to deliver the final localized product. Your daily tasks will include:

Planning, setting up and delivering projects; Creating budgets and schedules; Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements; Assigning tasks to translation and technical teams and making sure everyone’s working together well; Advising customers on localization processes and workflows, including loc engineering, audio, and QA processes; Actively participating in process improvements.

Success in this role means you’ve developed good client relationships with your customers and watched over the project costs and revenue to achieve good margins. You’ve also led your project team through the shortest path to top-quality delivery.

To Be Successful, You Will Have: Min. 3 years experience in a Project Management role in localization – you’ve managed translation projects from start to finish; Min. 2 years experience working in CAT tools – you know how CAT tools work and have directly worked in at least one such tool; Analytical and problem-solving skills, process-oriented thinking – you see the bigger picture and plan ahead, you make decisions based on the available data, you notice it when things can be done more efficiently, and you’re creative about solutions when something goes wrong; Top-class communication skills,



both written and verbal – you easily get your point across; Strong interpersonal and leadership skills – you’re comfortable working in a team and assigning tasks; Customer service skills and experience – the customer is always right, and when they aren’t you are nice about it; Interest in language and linguistic process – you might even get excited about a new type of text to translate or another translation challenge; Proficiency in English in speech and writing – you have no issues primarily using English throughout your day at work; Experience with project financials – you’ve planned budgets and analyzed margins; Very good handle on Excel – whatever you can’t do, you know how to google; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Bonus points - considered as an asset: Degree in linguistics or language studies. You’re a gamer and interested in gaming! Knowledge of memo Q; Understanding of the game localization workflow, including testing and audio production. Experience managing multimedia projects (subtitling, voiceover); Knowledge of other languages.
