JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for support of General Ledger, specifically for month end /yead end closing, account reconciliations and analysis and financial reporting. This position will also assist Accounts Receivable department with special projects and initiatives.

Essential Functions:

- Account reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, analysis and issue resolutions related to those accounts
- Month-end/year end close activities including journal entries, corporate reporting and IFRS package preparation
- Inter and intracompany eliminations, reporting and reconciliations
- SAP month end processing including assessments, allocations, and foreign exchange valuation.
- Assist with IFRS reporting packages preparation
- Communicate to central finance team on status of monthly closing including the preparation and submission of SEM IFRS reporting
- Assist other areas of finance (primarily AR) with various projects and initiatives
- Assist with KMPG (interim/final) audit requests
- Special projects as assigned by manager

Knowledge:

- Working knowledge of account reconciliations, accounting principles and procedures

Experience:

- 1-4+ years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment.




- SAP or other ERP experience strongly preferred.

Skills:

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management.
- Advanced independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Shows commitment to process improvement.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required.
- Accounting strongly preferred.
