The Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization’s Quality Management System to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to drive quality initiatives, support audit activities, manage corrective actions, and promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction throughout the organization.

General Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure organizational compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer‑specific requirements, and other relevant quality standards.
- Coordinate and support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
- Manage document control processes, including procedures, work instructions, forms, and quality records.
- Monitor QMS performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare quality reports for management review.
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities, ensuring timely root cause analysis and effective implementation.
- Facilitate risk assessment activities and support the implementation of risk‑based thinking across business processes.
- Conduct gap analyses and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on quality system requirements, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated into operational processes.
- Support management review meetings by analyzing quality data, trends, and improvement opportunities.




- Investigate quality system non‑conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented and verified.
- Maintain compliance with customer requirements, regulatory obligations, and company policies.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and change management activities to ensure QMS compliance.
- Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Experience / Qualifications

- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast‑paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self‑accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
