Description STATEMENT OF JOB: The primary role of the Substitute Teacher is to assume responsibility for a classroom and perform all the tasks of the absent teacher.
The exact teaching assignment is based on both the needs of the department and the particular experience and skill set of the substitute teacher.
As such, flexibility is a must!
JOB DUTIES: Essential duties will include: Implement the lesson plan of the absent teacherTake attendance according to the School policyMaintain classroom control and disciplineEnsure students adhere to school rulesFoster a safe and nurturing learning environmentConfer with students and colleagues as requiredPerform other duties as assigned In addition to the duties listed above, Francis Parker School expects the following of each employee: adheres to Francis Parker policies and procedures; works safely; maintains a positive and respectful attitude; and communicates regularly with the supervisor about any issues or concerns.
Requirements Qualifications:
