We are looking for an experienced Automation Project Manager to manage non-standard automation projects in Mexico, mainly for automotive industry customers. The candidate should have strong project execution capability, good communication skills, and solid experience coordinating mechanical, electrical, software, assembly, installation, commissioning, FAT, SAT, and customer acceptance activities.

Key Requirements

1. Based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, or able to work locally in Monterrey by him/her self.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in non-standard automation, industrial automation, machine building, or automation integration projects.

3. Strong experience in automotive automation projects is preferred, including assembly lines, testing stations, robot cells, vision inspection, conveyors, safety systems, electrical cabinets, PLC/HMI, and commissioning.

4. Good English communication skills, able to communicate with international teams, Chinese/European suppliers, and general customers by email, meetings, and project reports.

5. Strong project management skills, including schedule control, cost control, risk management,



resource coordination, issue tracking, customer communication, and project documentation.

6. Familiar with project phases such as design review, purchasing follow-up, manufacturing, assembly, FAT, shipment, installation, SAT, punch list closure, and final handover.

7. Able to coordinate cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, PLC/software engineers, technicians, suppliers, and customer teams.

8. Good communication, ownership, problem-solving mindset, and strong sense of responsibility.

Main Responsibilities

* Manage automation projects from kick-off to final acceptance.

* Prepare and maintain project schedules, etc

* Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and customer representatives.

* Follow up mechanical, electrical, software, assembly, installation, and commissioning progress.

* Lead regular project meetings and provide clear updates to management and customers.

* Track open issues, assign responsibilities, and push for timely closure.

* Support FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.

* Control project scope, timing, cost, quality, and delivery risks.

* Ensure all project documents are properly prepared and updated.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with automotive customers such as Tier 1 suppliers or OEMs.

* Knowledge of PLC, HMI, robot, vision, electrical safety, CE/safety standards, and industrial equipment installation.

* PMP or formal project management training is a plus.
