SENIOR SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER (FUNCTIONAL) - POWER ELECTRONICS

As a System Test Engineer, you will execute system-level verification activities focused on functional testing and System Integration Testing (ASPICE SYS.4) for Power Electronics products. You will ensure that system requirements are correctly verified through structured test design, execution, and analysis.
You will contribute to the validation lifecycle by supporting test strategy definition, preparing and executing test cases, and ensuring traceability and quality of results. Acting as a key technical contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and efficient system validation.
YOUR TASKS
- Analyze requirements and define verification strategies to ensure testability, compliance, and traceability.
- Develop and maintain functional and integration test specifications according to ASPICE standards.
- Plan and execute manual and automated testing across the product development lifecycle.
- Lead system test activities, defect investigations,
and cross-functional root cause analysis.
- Evaluate system behavior, integration risks, and requirement coverage at system and vehicle levels.
- Drive test automation, framework improvements, and laboratory infrastructure development.
- Review verification deliverables and ensure compliance with customer, process, and ASPICE requirements.
- Act as technical lead for customer reviews, audits, assessments, and project milestones.
- Mentor engineers and support project planning through estimations, risk assessments, and status reporting.
- Collaborate globally and promote continuous improvement, innovation, and testing excellence.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in automotive electronics testing, validation, or system integration activities.
- Strong experience in functional and system integration testing within automotive development projects.
- Advanced knowledge of ASPICE SYS.4 and SYS.5, V-Model, verification and validation processes.
- Proven experience leading technical test activities and coordinating verification efforts within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of automotive power electronics systems,
embedded systems, and system architectures.
- Extensive experience with test methodologies, debugging techniques, measurement equipment, and laboratory environments.
- Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, CAN FD, UDS diagnostics, and related analysis tools.
- Experience with test automation tools, scripting, and automated verification frameworks.
- Familiarity with OEM validation requirements and customer-specific testing standards.
- Experience supporting customer discussions, technical reviews, assessments, and audits.
- Experience working in integral and cross-functional development organizations.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated mentoring, coaching, and technical leadership skills.
- Fluent in English.
Additional Qualifications
- ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation or Advanced Level) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434), or related automotive standards is an advantage.
- Experience with power electronics applications such as DC/DC converters, battery management systems, fuel control modules, body control modules, or similar automotive products is a plus.
