These are exciting times for the charity, and we now have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and professional individual with outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills to join our dedicated International Programmes and Partnerships Department. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for supporting evidence-based influencing strategies across Mexico and Latin American (LAC) countries by collecting, processing, and analysing data to identify trends and insights. The position will produce reports, dashboards, and visualizations that inform strategic decision-making and contribute to improving The Donkey Sanctuary's impact in the region.
About you:
A degree or minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience (or equivalent through experience).
Experience in research design and methodology, with a strong understanding of statistical concepts to plan appropriate data collection approaches and accurately interpret and analyse findings.
Experience on planning and designing a sampling approach to ensure data is representative of target population.
Experience on translating technical findings into a compelling story for non-technical stakeholders through easy-to-understand chart, graph and dashboards, or similar, to be included in reports and presentations.
Ability to understand strategic goals and translate them into specific, measurable research questions or objectives.
Experience on designing clear, unbiased questionnaires or similar.
Advanced Excel skills,
including analysis, reporting, and pivot tables, with experience using data visualisation tools to present insights clearly and effectively.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
A bachelor´s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Information management or similar.
Able to understand strategy goals and translate them into specific, measurable research questions or objectives.

About the role:
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include -
Plan and design data collection, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (internal and external) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to be presented to stakeholders and other influencing activities.
Use (or review) statistical tools and techniques to analyse complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns and correlations that can support The Donkey Sanctuary (TDS) LAC strategy.
Automate data processes and improve data quality.
Work with the findings so they can be presented in a clear and concise manner;
Maintain documentation for data processes, definitions, and dashboards.
Work with cross-functional teams in TDS to understand influencing and advocacy requirements and translate them into data.
To work cross departmentally including PAC (Public Affairs, Advocacy and Campaigns) and research teams to support TDS LAC and general strategy.
The contract:
This is a full-time, 2-year,
fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible, working 40 hours per week. The working pattern will combine onsite, currently in Mexico City, and home (hybrid) working under our guiding principles for such roles. The working pattern will be agreed between the line manager and post-holder.
