Laboratory Technician

Location: Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico

Key Responsibilities

- Perform laboratory testing and quality assurance activities to support safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery.

- Prepare laboratory reports, analyze test results, and provide technical recommendations for additive selection and fluid design.

- Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in optimal working condition.

- Support quality control processes and ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry standards.

- Conduct risk assessments and participate in HSE and Quality initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.

- Assist technical and engineering teams with laboratory analysis, product evaluation, and operational support.

- Prepare technical documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

- Participate in audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and Service Quality Meetings to enhance performance and service quality.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in:

- Chemical Engineering

- Petrochemical Engineering

- Petroleum Engineering

- Geological Engineering

- Related disciplines

- 5+ years of experience preferred.

- Experience in Oil & Gas laboratories, stimulation, cementing, or production chemical operations.

- Experience in the design, testing, or evaluation of chemical systems and products.

- Experience with quality assurance, laboratory management, and operational support activities.

- Experience conducting audits and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards is desirable.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of laboratory testing, quality control, and chemical analysis processes.

- Experience supporting fluid design and additive selection activities.

- Understanding of stimulation and cementing products, including corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, and acid systems.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Experience using Canva is desirable.

- Knowledge of quality systems and laboratory standards.

- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements is preferred.

- Field laboratory and plant environment.

- Potential offshore assignments depending on operational requirements.

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to customers. The Laboratory Technician identifies opportunities to improve service delivery. This person performs quality assurance tests on company products, prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite, and provides advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design. The Laboratory Technician maintains contact with the Client Support Labs and/or operating locations, product centers and the InTouch repository
