DE LA FONTAINE Industries, a designer and manufacturer of steel doors and frames based in Canada, is seeking an **Estimator (Engineering/Architecture)** to join the team for a REMOTE JOB.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Reporting to the Estimation Manager, the Designer will be responsible for:
- Receive and manage requests for quotes on steel doors and steel frames for construction projects;
- Develop projects based on customers' needs according to company prices;
- Carry out estimates and evaluations of doors and frames in order to develop quotes accordingly;
- Analyze and interpret plans and quotes;
- Prepare quotes, specify quantities and include costs for doors and frames;
- Understand customer projects and adapt them according to the company's nomenclature;
- Provide support and do the necessary follow-ups by providing the appropriate technical information;




- Redirect customer requests to the relevant resource people;
- Occasionally assist other team members in various customer service tasks (order tracking, quality issues, etc.);
- Assume all related responsibilities and perform any other relevant task.

**You are the person we are looking for if you have the following skills & qualities**:
- Degree in a field directly related to construction, such as an engineering, architecture or building techniques;
- Ability to read plans and quotes;
- Knowledge of 3D and 2D CAD : Solidworks and Autocad;
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel (advanced);
- Relevant experience with sheet metal fabrication;
