**About the role**
The Senior Accountant will by employed by Cadencia, but will work for a subsidiary of a integral manufacturer of essential equipment and consumables based in the United States.
Reporting to the Controller, The Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing and overseeing the company’s accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position works closely with other internal and external customers such as Inside Sales, Shipping, Warehouse, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,
and subsidiaries located throughout the US, Asia, and Europe.
Working hours: 9 am - 6 pm (Mexico Central Time). Remote.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate entries, reconciliations, and journal adjustments.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of adjusting entries.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support management in strategic planning.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules, ensuring all requested documentation is accurate and complete for smooth audit processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance, including gathering information and supporting documentation for tax filings and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation in accounting operations.
- Work cross functionally to support company culture, values, and work such as assisting with department expense analysis, auditing, and other special project needs.
- Follow ISO procedures and guidelines, as well as follow all safety protocol measures.
**Required Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, or equivalent certification or work experience; CPA certification preferred.
- 5-8+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or similar industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems, EPICOR preferred.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Ability to work independently and on a team to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) to work with large sets of data. Experience with ERP Software preferred.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time in front of a computer.

**The pay range for this role is**:
