**As a Recreational Therapist, you will**:
- Assess residents' needs using your clinical skills, reviewing medical records, conducting tests, and discussing with other healthcare professionals, residents, and families.
- Design, develop, and implement individualized therapeutic recreational activities and treatment plans tailored to residents' goals, health conditions, and interests.
- Engage residents in activities like exercise, games, art, music, dance, sports, aquatics, and community outings to promote physical, social, and emotional well-being.
- Coordinate recreation-based medical treatment programs.
- Help residents learn essential social and coping skills for independence and community integration.
- Monitor and document resident progress, adapting treatment plans as needed with professional precision.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, contributing your nursing perspective to care planning meetings.
- Facilitate group sessions to promote socialization and use de-escalation techniques for behavioral management.
- Travel between different Affinity Care residences and community locations in the Greater Minneapolis-Saint Paul Area to conduct therapy sessions and attend team meetings.
**Requirements for Mexican Nurses**:
- **Mexican citizenship with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing**.
- **Active nursing license in Mexico**.
- Clinical experience in any specialty (preference for geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long-term care).
- Strong clinical assessment competencies and documentation skills.
- Experience in direct patient care and knowledge of patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- **Very strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential**, including effective therapeutic communication and emotional intelligence.
- **You must have very good English proficiency** to effectively communicate with residents, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Adaptability and openness to new care approaches.
- Passion for improving quality of life for vulnerable populations.
- Creativity in developing therapeutic solutions.
- Patience and empathy working with elderly and disabled individuals.

- Must pass a state background check.

**Position Details**:
- **Salary: $45,760 USD annually**.
- **Schedule**: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday with alternating weekends.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (employer contribution), dental and vision (50% employee paid), combined PTO/ESST (6 days accrued), Holiday Pay (time and a half), and eligibility for a 401(k) with a 6% match.
