**Intervention Teaching Assistant - Primary SEN Support**
**Location**: Derby, DE22
**Daily Rate**: 105 - 115 per day
**Hours**: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
**Start Date**: September 2025
**Contract**: Long-term to permanent
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to deliver targeted support to pupils who need it most? Do you have a passion for making a difference through small group and one-to-one interventions?
**About the Role**
Long Term Futures are working with a friendly, inclusive primary school in **Derby (DE22)** to recruit a confident and proactive **Intervention Teaching Assistant**.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, both academic and social/emotional
- Adapt resources and teaching styles to meet individual learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to monitor progress
- Use visuals, routines, and behaviour strategies to create a positive environment
- Provide consistent, nurturing support that helps build pupil confidence and independence
**What We're Looking For**
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a primary school (essential)




- Experience supporting pupils with **ASD**, **ADHD**, **SEMH**, or speech & language needs
- Confident in delivering interventions and adapting materials
- Qualified to **Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning**, HLTA, or relevant degree
- Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive approach
- Familiarity with key strategies such as PECS, visual timetables, or social stories (desirable)
