**Full job description**
We are currently working with a special needs provisions across Leeds, we are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants for Sept 2025 As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs and disabilities.
**Job Specification**
- Assist pupils with physical disabilities and complex medical needs
- To provide quality support to the class teacher and other teaching assistants
- Be willing to work on a 121 basis and small groups
- Be willing to provide personal/intimate care to students aged 2-19




- Support students with their social and emotional development
- Monitor and record the progress of the students and provide feedback to the class teacher and parents when required
- Assist in creating visual aids, resources and learning materials to enhance the learning experience for each student
- Provide positive reinforcement for students and encourage their development
**Person specification**
- Has good communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
- Is patient empathetic and able to build strong working relationships with students and other members of staff
- Has the ability to work as part of a team and also independently when required
