**Your new role**
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have experience delivering structured interventions and working 1:1 or in small groups? We have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Birmingham this September!
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH focus)
- Location: Birmingham (East Birmingham)
- Start Date: September 2025
- Contract: Full-time, Temporary (1 term - Sept to Dec) with potential to go permanent
- Hours: Monday to Friday, school hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs




- Deliver structured intervention programmes tailored to individual learning plans
- Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and pastoral staff to support student progress
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience supporting students with SEMH or similar needs
- Confident delivering structured interventions
- Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable but not essential)
