**The Opportunity**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the Year 6 National Curriculum, focusing on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school.
- Use a variety of assessment tools to track pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independent thinking and a love of learning.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a consistent and high standard of education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress and addressing any concerns.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development.




**Person Specification**:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 2.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a focused and engaging learning environment.
- Ability to assess pupil progress, differentiate lessons, and provide support to students preparing for SATs and secondary school.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to the positive culture of the school.
