What will you do?
- Lead punching and bending programming team to ensure efficient production execution according to planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements in punching and bending operations to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
- Promote design improvements with R&D; and Engineering with Design for Manufacturing approach.
- Balance workloads across machines and operators to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to support new equipment implementation and process automation.
- Optimize utilization of raw material (sheet metal and copper) by improving nesting.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making of sheet metal and copper manufacturing.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the production area.
- Monitor quality performance and drive actions to minimize defects and rework.
What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing roles role, preferably in metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal processes, including punching, bending, and material handling.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
