**On Site**:This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis
**Job Description Summary**:
In this role, you will manage the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems in addition to the following responsibilities:
- You will conduct appropriate checks and tests, and communicate evaluation of results
- Recommends solutions to problems
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
- Meets schedule and quality requirements
- Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
- Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
- Maintain frequent contact and collaboration in other areas outside of working group
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project. Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
- **Process Design and Development**:
- Select and evaluate paint materials, including primers, base coats, clear coats, and specialty coatings.
- Design and optimize the layout of equipment and workstations in paint lines.
- Establish and maintain critical process parameters, such as temperature, humidity, pressure, drying time, and coat thickness.
- **Optimization and Continuous Improvement**:
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in quality, efficiency, and costs.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize existing processes.
- Research and evaluate new paint technologies and equipment for potential implementation.
- Troubleshoot technical and quality issues that may arise in the paint process.
- **Project Management**:
- Lead projects to implement new paint processes or equipment.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for equipment acquisition and installation.
- Develop technical documentation, including process specifications, operating manuals, and safety data sheets.
- **Quality Assurance**:*
- Establish and maintain quality standards for paint processes and finished products.
- Develop and execute inspection and testing plans to verify paint quality.
**Key Requeriments**:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field.
- Availability to change shifts 4x3 (Holiday, Sundays) working on site 100% of the time
- Conversational English
- Experience automotive, paint process
- Responsible to resolve appearance and quality problems
- Innovation projects
- Collaborate with the quality team to identify and correct paint defects.
