Bosch is seeking a **Supplier Quality Engineer** to join its purchasing team. This role is responsible for ensuring that component suppliers meet **Bosch and automotive industry standards**, minimizing quality-related disruptions to production. The engineer will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with industry requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supplier Claims Management**: Oversee supplier claims, coordinate containment actions, and ensure the availability of certified components for manufacturing. Be the focal point to the coordination of 8D's with supplier assuring TRC / MRC and the necessary actions.
- **Defect Cost Recovery & Concessions**: Track defect costs, manage concessions, and ensure adherence to processes.
- **Audits & Compliance**: Conduct supplier and internal audits, ensuring compliance with **automotive quality standards**.
- **Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement**: Lead and participate in **problem-solving activities** and **Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP)**.
- **KPI & Process Tracking**: Monitor **local KPIs**, update **PBI reports** (scrap, costs, etc.), and lead **task forces** for quality improvement.
- **PPAP & Supplier Quality Improvement**: Support the **Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)** and lead initiatives to improve supplier quality.
**Qualifications**
- **Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in **Engineering** or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- **Experience**: Minimum **5 years** of experience in **Quality Assurance**, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
- **Language Skills**:Advanced English** proficiency required (ability to lead meetings and communicate effectively with international suppliers and stakeholders). German is a plus.
- **Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills**:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in **root cause analysis and corrective actions**.
- Experience with **statistical techniques** and quality reporting.
- Hands-on support and **attention to detail** required.
- **Technical Knowledge**:
- Strong understanding of **assembly processes** (preferred background).
- Knowledge of **metrology** and industry-standard **measurement techniques**.
- Ability to read and interpret **technical drawings, process documents, and quality assurance standards**.
- Familiarity with **quality strategies** for **new product launches** and **ongoing production quality management**.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with **cross-functional teams** and suppliers.
- Excellent **verbal and written communication skills**.
- **Work Style & Adaptability**:
- Ability to handle **multiple projects** in a **fast-paced, general environment**.
