- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add a _**_Quality Metrology Engineer _**_located in _**_Flex Aguascalientes. _**
- Reporting to the Quality Metrology Manager, Engineering Services, Metrology Laboratory, Responsible for the development of test methods and procedures needed to determine the dimensional features of products, first article inspection of manufacturer assembly process and testing performance on items to determine compliance with specifications. _
**What a typical day looks like**:
- _Utilize knowledge of ISO/ASME GD&T; to interpret engineering layouts, drawings, and documentation of various levels of components, assemblies, and subassemblies using CAD system (i.e., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, OrCAD). _
- _Develop and use measurement methods and equipment to determine the dimension features of products conform to the design features. _
- _Program and use CMM, OGP, Vision systems, CT Scanner, Hexagon Romer Absolute Arm and form tracking systems. _
- _Experience demonstrable in Calypso measurement software. _
- _Experience demonstrable on reading and interpreting drawings _
- _Management and programming in CMM Contura G2 _
- _Experience in Calypso software. _
- _Programming using 3D model File. _
- _Troubleshoot OGP, CMM and CT Scanner programs and system malfunctions. _
- _Develop measurement programs for dimensional testing. _
- _Aid in selection and management of fixture, program and equipment suppliers. _
- _interact routinely with customers to develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation _




- _Perform inspection and testing of molded components and assemblies for conformance to design and configuration requirements _
- _Utilize inspection measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, thread gauges, plug gauges, comparators etc.) _
- _Optimize inspection methods to expedite inspections and manage equipment capacity. _
- _Train colleagues / technicians/inspectors on vision system (i.e. - OGP), Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), and CT Scanner operation for parts being ran on production floor. _
- _Perform workmanship evaluations on plastic parts (flash, damage, discoloration, contamination, etc.) using microscopes. _
- _Compile and analyze measurement data and statistics to assess measurement methods and process capability. _
- _Perform Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR) studies to evaluate measurement methods. _
- _Assure data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidate and report quality results. _
- _Identify and Report Non-conformances of product or processes. _
- _Provide support for Corrective Action investigations. _
**The experience we’re looking to add to our team**:
- _Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields. _
- _Desirable experience in mechanicals materials behavior, metals and plastics. _
- _Demonstrates technical skills. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications including ISO/ASME GD&T.; _
- _Desirable medium experience in dimensional methodologies (automotive, aerospace, or medical sectors). _
- _Desirable Certification: Formal certification in GD&T; (Senior or Technologist level according to ASME). _
