Job Title: Senior Java Backend Developer
Location: Remote Candidate must be from LATAM Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and distributed systems. The adecuado candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, messaging systems, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, along with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, database performance, and system scalability. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and maintain REST APIs and microservices for enterprise-scale applications.
Develop clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize queries, indexes, and data access.
Develop and integrate event-driven and asynchronous systems using messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
Deploy and operate applications in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes environments.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve application or infrastructure performance bottlenecks.
Participate in system design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
Develop automated unit, integration, and performance tests.




Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Required Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP, Collections, Generics, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Big-O complexity.
Strong SQL and relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
Experience with database indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar messaging technologies.
Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, caching, and performance optimization.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Qualifications: 8+ years of software development experience, with significant experience in Java backend development.
Experience developing enterprise-scale backend applications and distributed systems.
Experience working with cloud-native applications and microservices.
Strong understanding of software development, system performance, troubleshooting, and scalability.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
