Canva has 200M+ monthly active users across 190+ countries.
Mexico is one of Canva's most penetrated markets in LatAm — millions of users, an existing in-market team, and strong brand recognition already on the ground.
The easy levers have been pulled.
The next phase isn't about repeating what worked.
It's about identifying the right disproportionate growth opportunities for this market and building a targeted strategy to capture them.
Why we're hiring this role now Canva recently restructured its international organization and brought in a new International Lead and a new Head of LatAm Expansion to push harder on the biggest markets outside Australia and the US.
Mexico sits at the center of that mandate.
The country has the scale and the early wins.
What it needs now is a leader who can take the existing team and momentum and turn it into the next chapter of growth — sharper strategy, deeper localization, and a real Mexico playbook that other LatAm markets will look to.
What's in it for you You would own Canva Mexico end to end.
The P&L;, the growth strategy, the local playbook, the team you grow from here.
You would be the face of Canva in the country across press, events, government, partnerships, and community.
You would work directly with integral marketing, product, content, and growth leaders.
Your skip-level is Canva's International Lead.
Decisions move when you can make the case for them.
Equity is part of the package.
As Canva continues to scale internationally, the upside is real.
Mexico already has the foundation.
The next person taking it on gets to decide what disproportionate growth in this market actually looks like.
What success looks like You own MAUs and ARR for Mexico.
Within your first year, the market has a clear multi-year strategy, a model that maps growth levers to outcomes, and visible local momentum (product surfaces, content, partnerships, community) that compounds on what already exists.

What you'll do This role owns Canva Mexico end to end.
Concretely: Build and execute a multi-year growth strategy for Mexico, owning user and revenue KPIs.
Localize Canva for Mexican users.
Partner with global product and content teams on real local surfaces, pricing, packaging, and content — not adapted global templates.
Shape and deploy the Mexico marketing budget alongside the regional marketing team.
Lead, coach, and grow the existing in-market team (marketing lead, content lead) and add headcount as the business scales.
Sponsor enterprise sales, education, government, and partnership relationships as the local face of Canva.
Represent Canva publicly across press, PR, events, and community in Mexico.
Influence global teams without direct authority.
Most of the people you need are not on your team.
Build the Mexico playbook that Canva can use to scale other priority LatAm markets next.
You're probably a fit if you have 8+ years in growth, commercial, or GM roles at tech / SaaS / e-commerce / consumer digital companies.
Full P&L; ownership at a country or regional level.
You can articulate exactly what you moved and how ("I did X, Y moved by Z%").
0→1 or 1→10 building experience — you've built or scaled something with real personal ownership, not just operated an inherited system.
Consumer or demand-side digital growth experience — user acquisition, activation, retention, conversion, brand, content, community.
B2B-only, ops-heavy, supply-side, or logistics profiles are a NO.
Data-led strategic thinking — you diagnose from data,

build models from explicit assumptions, and can quote metric deltas across every role you've held (including roles two or three back).
Real product depth — you can translate local insight into product requirements and hold your own with PMs.
End-to-end GM breadth across growth, brand, community, org building, and execution.
Team leadership — you've led 3-5+ direct reports and grown people, not just managed.
Matrix operating experience — you've delivered outcomes through influence, not authority, inside a global org.
Sustained tenure — at least ~3 years in at least one recent role.
No pattern of short stints.
Fluent English and native-level Spanish.
Based in CDMX or fully committed to relocating immediately.
Nice to have LatAm expansion experience inside a global SaaS or consumer tech company.
PLG / growth marketing background.
Founder or early-employee experience at a high-growth LatAm startup.
Public-facing experience: press, PR, events, community.
Network into the Mexican ecosystem (government, enterprise, education, media, influencers, top startups).
Experience localizing a global product for Mexico or another Spanish-speaking market.
Credible AI fluency — used AI meaningfully in strategic work, not just prompts for a deck.
Team and reporting Reports directly to the Head of LatAm Expansion.
Daily collaboration with global counterparts across product, content, sales, partnerships, and finance.
You'll grow the local team as the business scales.
Company snapshot Canva is one of the most used design platforms in the world, with over 200 million monthly active users across 190+ countries.
Founded in Australia, valued at around USD 40 billion, with 4,000+ employees globally.
LatAm is one of Canva's most penetrated regions, and Mexico is one of its largest markets — with a leadership mandate to drive disproportionate growth from here.
