Role Description This full-time, on-site Buyer – Chemical Raw Materials position is based in Mexico City, Mexico. The Buyer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle for chemical raw materials, including identifying suppliers, requesting quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and issuing purchase orders. Daily activities include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production and logistics teams to ensure material availability, and tracking delivery schedules to prevent supply disruptions.
The role involves evaluating supplier performance, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and supporting cost-optimization and quality initiatives. The Buyer collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to align purchasing decisions with operational requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, preferably in: o Chemical industry, Raw materials Plastics Coatings Adhesives, Construction or related industries.
Strong purchasing and procurement skills, including experience managing chemical raw materials with domestic and international suppliers.
Proficiency in handling purchase orders and maintaining accurate purchasing documentation within ERP or similar systems.
Analytical skills to evaluate pricing, demand, lead times, and supplier performance for data-driven decisions.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with suppliers,
