CIMMYT is looking for an outstanding, self-motivated, and result-oriented professional for the position of General Physician to provide timely, comprehensive, and high-quality medical care to CIMMYT staff, while promoting health, preventing disease, and ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations.
The location of this position will be CIMMYT’s headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City.
Responsibilities.




General Medical Care and First Contact
- General medical consultations (acute and chronic conditions).
- First aid and emergency care.
- Prescription and follow-up of medical treatments.
- Pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical evaluations.
- Referral to specialists when necessary.
- Clinical follow-up of relevant cases.
- Conduct periodic inspections of first aid kits and defibrillators.
- Provide support in the daily inspections of the CENDI, in accordance with established procedures.

Occupational Health and Medical Surveillance
- Creation and updating of occupational medical records.
- Health evaluations for specific risk exposure (chemical, physical, ergonomic, psychosocial).
- Participation in the Health and Safety Committee.
- Management of medical leaves and safe return-to-work processes.
- Identification of vulnerable employees and support in workplace accommodations if needed.
