Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but we engage our Contractors and Freelancers all over the world to help us meet our crazy big goals. As a Contractor or Freelancer at Canva you can work remotely in the country listed on this job ad, meaning you have ultimate flexibility. Wherever works for you, works for us. Please note, this is a 6-month contract with full time hours per week.
What you’d be doing in this role
As our Senior Designer, you’ll collaborate closely with the Creative Director to elevate Canva’s visual presence in México. Partnering with a talented team, including copywriters and freelancers, you’ll ideate, design and execute for projects that elevate our brand.
From scroll-stopping performance ads to campaigns that shape Canva’s perception in Latin America.
You’re an experienced designer who can bring concepts to life with creativity, attention to detail, and personality. This role is perfect for a versatile individual with the ability to tell powerful stories through their work.

At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Lead the visual direction for brand, product, and performance campaigns, keeping every project fresh, consistent, and innovative.
- Design simple, powerful storyboards for ads and hype reels that bring Canva to life.
- Confidently pitch concepts and present work to senior creative leaders, product marketing managers, and stakeholders, clearly articulating the creative vision and strategic approach.
- Write with the same creativity and clarity you bring to your designs.
