Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team as a dedicated, full-time estimator working within our client's existing systems and workflows. This is a critical role where you will own the complete bid lifecycle and serve as a direct point of contact with major national clients and general contractors. Your accuracy, responsiveness, and relationship-building skills directly impact bid profitability and project success.
You will work closely with ownership and play a key role in the company's ability to scale operations and pursue new work.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from commercial construction drawings using Xactimate, with expertise in reading and interpreting commercial plan sets
- Conduct thorough plan reviews and specification analysis to identify missing information, clarifications, and scope questions before bid submission
- Manage the complete bid solicitation and submission process — from plan receipt through final bid delivery, including vendor and subcontractor pricing coordination
- Serve as the primary estimator contact for clients, engaging directly with national contractors and facility managers to clarify scope, answer technical questions, and support the sales process
