Responsibilities
- Project Investment Estimation and Forecasting: Estimate and forecast project investment based on project requirements and design documents. This requires proficiency in market trends, material prices, and relevant policies and regulations to ensure the accuracy and rationality of investment estimates.
- Compilation of Engineering Cost Documents: Be responsible for compiling engineering cost-related documents such as bidding documents, base bids, and tender quotations. This demands rich engineering experience and professional knowledge, the ability to accurately calculate engineering quantities, determine material prices and labor costs, etc., to ensure the rationality and competitiveness of quotations.
- Cost Monitoring and Control: Conduct real-time monitoring and control of project costs during the implementation of engineering projects. Regularly account for and analyze project costs, timely identify cost deviations and take corresponding measures for adjustment. Communicate and coordinate with construction units,
suppliers and other parties to ensure that project costs are within the budget.
- Engineering Variation and Contract Price Adjustment: Engineering variations and contract price adjustments are inevitable during project implementation. Cost engineers shall account for and analyze engineering variations and contract price adjustments based on presente conditions to ensure the rationality and impartiality of the adjustments. They need to communicate and negotiate with construction units, owners and other parties, and make corresponding adjustments after reaching a consensus.
- Project Completion Acceptance and Settlement: Participate in project completion acceptance and settlement work upon project completion. Collate and analyze project completion data, and compile project settlement reports. In the settlement process, conduct accounting in strict accordance with contract agreements to ensure the accuracy and impartiality of settlements.
