Crane ChemPharma & Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our Finance team in Chihuahua. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory and cost accounting information that supports operational and strategic decision-making across our manufacturing facility and service center operations.

As a Cost Accountant, you will:

- Maintain and analyze inventory, standard costing, and cost of sales records.
- Monitor and report material price variances and manufacturing cost fluctuations.
- Validate standard costs for new and existing products.
- Review and support engineering changes impacting Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Analyze inventory adjustments, cycle count results, scrap, and manufacturing variances.
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory reporting in accordance with corporate policies.
- Review sales, backlog, margins, gross profit, and shipment profitability.
- Maintain fixed asset records and oversee depreciation accounting.
- Support annual physical inventory planning, execution, and reconciliation.
- Prepare inventory reconciliations and financial analyses.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)



controls and internal accounting procedures.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of: inventory accounting, standard costing, manufacturing cost analysis, fixed assets and depreciation, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably QAD.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in manufacturing environments serving highly regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, industrial, or process manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality management systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
