Position Overview:
The Inbound Logistics Coordinator will report to the Inbound Logistics Lead and be based in Mexico City, Mexico. They will be responsible for coordinating inbound product shipments via ground, airfreight and ocean shipment in coordination with Freight Forwarders, Carriers, Customs Brokers, Drayage Providers and 3rd party Warehouse & Distribution 3PLs. They will work closely with the sales/commercial team, procurement, planning,
domestic and international manufacturers to ensure timely response and coordination of time-sensitive and critical shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee and ensure logistics processes operate to department standards and communicate any deviations that will impact freight movements.
• Assures compliance with customs, import, applicable foreign trade/importation laws as well as applicable federal transportation regulations.
• Understand operations, process and documentation flows at import ports, customs, rail yards, 3PL facilities and with all transportation providers and partners.
• Identifies risks and opportunities when evaluating import logistics and freight spend to ensure safe and efficient transportation of company products.
• Coordinate and ensure logistics data and documentation is recorded in our ERP system.
