We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing - Sewing to lead and oversee day-to-day sewing operations across two garment manufacturing plants in Mexico. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring high-quality production, and optimizing efficiency across all sewing lines. The idóneo candidate will bring deep expertise in garment construction, large-scale sewing operations, and Lean manufacturing practices, with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for sewing operations across two manufacturing plants.
- Drive production efficiency, line balancing, throughput improvement, and on-time delivery.
- Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing practices, including waste reduction, continuous improvement, and process standardization.
- Lead and develop plant leadership teams, supervisors, and sewing operators to achieve KPIs and operational targets.
- Oversee capacity planning, workforce optimization,



and production scheduling across both facilities.
- Ensure consistent product quality by enforcing quality standards, SOPs, and best practices in garment construction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, engineering, and quality, to support business goals.
- Monitor and manage operational costs, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 –15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with a strong focus on sewing operations.
- Proven experience managing multi-plant or large-scale sewing operations.
- Deep understanding of garment construction, sewing processes, and production flow optimization.
- Lean Manufacturing Black Belt certification (or equivalent advanced Lean expertise).
