As a Data Science Associate, you'll play an important role in strengthening our research foundation by applying advanced data science techniques and quantitative analysis to energy system analysis.
Reporting to the Director of Research and Policy, you'll focus on building energy systems models, conducting detailed analysis of existing power sectors, supply chains, and generating insights about nuclear energy's role in clean energy transitions. Your work will involve contributing to and analyzing power systems models, analyzing grid integration scenarios, and conducting quantitative assessments of nuclear deployment pathways. You'll also apply machine learning techniques, including natural language processing and AI models, to identify emerging trends in energy policy discourse, analyze stakeholder sentiment, and extract insights from large text-based datasets related to nuclear energy and public perception. This role is ideally suited for someone with 5+ years of work experience with a mix of energy systems modeling, applied machine learning, or quantitative research in fields such as engineering, energy
