Responsibilities:
- Consulting and handling all labor relations processes and employee relations matters.
- Developing company policies and positions on labor and employment issues.
- Preparing documentation related to labor claims, hearings, and labor authority proceedings.
- Evaluating labor compliance and employment conditions with vendors and subcontractors.
- Representing the company in labor-related meetings with employees, unions, and labor authorities.
- Designing and overseeing company policies and procedures related to labor relations and workplace conduct.
- Protecting the company against labor risks and violations by ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
- Examining labor implications related to new operations, policies, or workforce changes.
- Supporting negotiations with unions and employees on behalf of the company.
- Drafting and administering employment-related agreements and labor documentation.
- Guiding management on labor regulations, employee relations, and compliance to ensure adherence to labor laws
- Bachelor’s degree in law (Current license to practice law)
- Experience in a transport and logistics industry is an asset
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a corporate lawyer
- Excellent communication skills, both verball
