Location: Saltillo, Coahuila

Key Responsibilities

- Process Sheets & Work Instructions (Methodist Role):
- Draft, update, and deploy comprehensive Process Sheets (SOS/SOP/Standard Work Combination Sheets) for every workstation, detailing assembly steps, safety guidelines, tool usage, and quality checkpoints.
- Define standard work methods and ergonomic posture requirements directly on the shop floor to ensure repeatable quality and operator safety.
- Time Analysis & Line Balancing (Saturation):
- Conduct rigorous time and motion studies (MTM, MOST, Stopwatch timing) across all workstations to capture standard cycle times.
- Analyze workstation saturation levels and perform line balancing against Takt time to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize non-value-added time (NVA), and optimize operator workloads.
- Line Observation & Standard Cycle Definition:
- Perform gemba walks to observe presente line execution, verifying sequence dependencies and resource allocation.
- Define standard production cycles and integrate quality control plans into each assembly station.
- Shopfloor Verification & Plant Sign-off:
- Validate cycle times directly on the line alongside operators and shift supervisors.
- Secure formal plant sign-off via Approved Validation Sheets after line balancing adjustments.
- SAP Routing & Data Master Integration:
- Format and upload verified cycle times into SAP routings and Work Order parameters, ensuring 100% data integrity between physical shopfloor performance and ERP systems.

- Audit post-upload transaction evidence for operational handover to process owners.
- Continuous Improvement (WCM Focus): Drive line efficiency and waste reduction initiatives using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools, specifically within the Work Place Integration (WPI) and Industrial Engineering (IE) pillars.

- Technical & Professional Requirements

- Education: Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Methods Engineering.
- Experience: 2–10 years as a Methods Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or Process Engineer focusing on assembly line balancing and work instruction development in high-volume manufacturing or automotive.

- Hands-on experience applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles (Work Place Integration / Workplace Design).
- Systems & Documentation:
- Process Documentation: Mastery in creating technical Process Sheets, Standard Work Combination Sheets, and OPLs.
- SAP MM/PP: Direct experience preparing and updating SAP Routings, Work Centers, and assembly sequences.
- Software: Advanced MS Excel (balancing matrices, saturation curves) and 2D AutoCAD.
- Soft Skills: Methodical mindset, strong shopfloor presence, excellent analytical capabilities, and ability to negotiate workload balancing with production supervisors and operator teams.

Language Requirements
