Bay Property Management Group is looking for a Remote Internal Auditor to join our growing Accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who wants to take their skills beyond day-to-day bookkeeping and play an important role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of a growing organization.

You’ll be the person helping make sure the numbers are right, transactions are properly documented, and our financial processes are working the way they should.

This is a behind-the-scenes position with a meaningful impact. Your attention to detail will help our Accounting and Operations teams identify issues, improve processes, and maintain strong financial controls.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Internal Auditor,



you'll help ensure that our financial transactions are accurate, properly supported, and aligned with company policies.

Your responsibilities will include

- Reviewing invoices, vendor bills, and accounts payable transactions for accuracy
- Verifying proper coding and supporting documentation
- Auditing credit card transactions and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Reviewing financial activity in AppFolio and other accounting systems
- Identifying discrepancies, unusual transactions, errors, and inconsistencies
- Researching issues and working with team members to resolve them
- Reviewing general ledger activity and performing account reconciliations
- Auditing bank reconciliations, deposits, and expense entries
- Evaluating internal controls and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Preparing clear reports outlining audit findings and recommendations
- Supporting special accounting and audit projects as needed

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical, organized, and exceptionally detail-oriented.

The adecuado candidate

- Has 2+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, financial review, or a related field
- Has experience reviewing invoices, expenses, payments, or financial transactions




- Understands general ledger activity and reconciliations
- Is highly comfortable working with numbers and financial data
- Has strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Can quickly identify discrepancies and investigate their root cause
- Has excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Communicates clearly and professionally in English
- Can work independently and stay productive in a remote environment
- Takes ownership of their work and follows issues through to resolution
- AppFolio experience is a strong plus!
