Role: This is a part-time, contract position.
We're looking for a highly skilled SEO specialist with deep expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and search-driven revenue growth for direct-to-consumer (DTC) and ecommerce brands.
This is not an entry-level role. This is a role for someone who fully understands how search engines work in 2025 and beyond, including traditional SEO, AI/LLM search surfaces, technical optimization, content frameworks, and forecasting. If you think in terms of search intent, site architecture, canonical signals, SERP behavior, keyword themes, experience signals (E-E-A-T), and technical health, not just title tags and plugging keywords into content, this role is for you.
What You'll Own (Start to Finish) You will be the subject matter expert for SEO performance across multiple ecommerce clients: Technical & Platform Ownership Full SEO ownership for multiple DTC client websites
Conducting deep technical audits (crawlability, indexation, sitemaps, schema, site speed, Core Web Vitals, internal linking, canonical logic, etc.)
Managing and troubleshooting GSC, BWT, GA4, and SEO tooling integrations
Overseeing site migrations, URL updates, redirects, and structural improvements
Ensuring sites follow modern SEO best practices across desktop, mobile, and AI surfaces Research, Strategy & Content Guidance Owning keyword research, clustering, and intent modeling based on ICP and buyer journeys
Competitive analysis: SERP feature tracking, gap analysis, content opportunities
Recommending and prioritizing new content and optimization opportunities
Reviewing and editing content to ensure on-page excellence and search alignment
Maintaining a repository of high-value keywords, priority pages, and content gaps per client Optimization & Execution Full on-page optimization: metadata, headers, schema, URL structure, content improvements
Internal linking strategy and execution
Identifying and resolving indexation issues, thin content, cannibalization, and crawl waste
Regular SERP and AI search analysis (AI Overviews, Bing Deep Search, Perplexity, etc.) Authority Building (Links, Mentions, Visibility)
Developing and executing modern link-building strategies
Digital PR
Partnerships
Resource page outreach
Mentions in industry publications
Monitoring backlink profiles and managing disavows (as needed) Performance Monitoring & Reporting Weekly/biweekly analysis of KPIs:

Creating clear written insights + Loom walkthroughs
Forecasting traffic and building growth roadmaps per client

Collaborating closely with Digital Marketing Strategists (account managers)
Supporting content producers, creative teams, and developers with SEO best practices

~3-4 years of hands-on SEO experience for ecommerce or DTC brands
~ Proven track record of driving significant year-over-year organic traffic and revenue growth
~ Deep understanding of:
~ Technical SEO (crawlability, indexation, CWV, IA, structured data)
~ Content strategy & search intent modeling
~ Keyword clustering & prioritization
~ Competitive analysis & SERP feature tracking
~ Internal linking strategy & site architecture
~ GSC, GA4, BWT, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush
~ AI search surfaces & LLM optimization best practices (bonus)
~ Experience collaborating with writers, dev teams, and designers
~ Strong presentation, documentation, and communication skills
~ Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Communication Expectations Communication will take place primarily through email video conferences (Google Meet), email, and Google Chat.
