About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Mexico. This role is adecuado for a detail-oriented and proactive professional with strong experience in accounting, tax compliance, and team leadership. You will play a key role in managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering high-quality financial services to clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support accounting operations, including oversight of assigned accounting team members
- Plan and prepare financial reports (e.g., Athos, ITS, Cash Flow)
- Ensure timely execution of deliverables in accordance with quality standards
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate accounting records and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and legal requirements
- Prepare and review monthly and annual tax filings for clients and local authorities
- Coordinate with external parties (e.g., translators, notaries) for regulatory procedures (RNIE, IMSS, SAT,



etc.)
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations
- Process payroll and calculate related taxes (ISN, IMSS, Infonavit, Fonacot)
- Prepare and submit tax returns to SAT (monthly and annual)
- Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and timely service delivery
- Provide guidance and clearly communicate accounting concepts to team members
- Support additional tasks as required by management

Requirements

- Spanish (Native) and English (Basic)
- 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting and tax regulations
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax filings
- Experience with payroll processing and related tax calculations
