Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Establish relationships, trust and credibility with internal / external stakeholders. Working with them to develop
and drive business processes & solutions that are compliant with any applicable trade laws, regulations, or internal policies.
- Interface with related functional areas on import and export matters and coordinate training for personnel in these areas, as needed.
- Accountable for compliant importation and exportation of goods and services, including proper classification and valuation, ERP system maintenance and documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations.
- Responsible for HTS and ECCN administration and classification, Export License Determination, Screening, and Country of Origin, determination as well as support Bloom’s Free Trade Agreement and Special Trade program operations.
- Responsible for managing, complying and maintaining C-TPAT, OEA, VAT Certification programs
- Conduct effective and timely transactional review and audit of all import/export records and elevate issues requiring correction to Corporate TC prior to the payment date.
- Provide analytical support, ad-hoc projects as needed, for reporting price adjustments, royalties, etc. via the CBP
Reconciliation Prototype Program, and prepare reports and make recommendations to Leadership, as appropriate.
- Provide analytical support related to CBP rulings and request for information (CF-28, Post Summary Correction, and Prior Disclosures)
- Manage Customs Broker and ensure timely and accurate response to Broker requests for information and follow-up to ensure resolution.
- Implement appropriate corrective actions in response to any findings in external or internal assessments
Experiência y requisitos
- +5 Years experience managing Import-Export department
- Advance English Proficiency (90% written and spoken)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP, and related software. Experience with IMMEX/Maquiladora and Reconciliation program
- Import/Export Compliance Audit Programs. USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements and Qualifications Programs
- Experienced in managing C-TPAT, OEA and VAT Certification programs.
- Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist preferred
- Skilled in Classification: Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Export Commodity Classification Number (ECCN) and Export License Determination.
- Experience filing for CBP Rulings and responding to CBP request for information (CF28, CF29, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with regards to financial analysis, data manipulation, and the ability to create actionable information from data
- Knowledge of import ISF, FDA, AD/CVD, Section 301 and exclusions
