Job Description SummaryThe selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with Senior Leaders across the organization and, will define, implement, and control a solid continuous improvement initiatives into the assigned project.The Performance Engineer Intern is responsible for supporting issues regarding the thermodynamic response of an aircraft engine or aero-derivative gas turbine, with guidance.Roles and ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze data for assigned projectUse Lean tools to improve assigned projectSupport the team on the development of Lean initiatives.Support parametric studies regarding the interaction of the different components of the engineLearn the effect of different ambient conditions and perturbations (efficiencies, flows) on the overall performance of the enginePresent investigations and results in forums with highly specialized professionals with clarity.Make use of statistical tools to provide answersLook for creative solutions and constantly find ways to improve quality and response timeWork within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirementsDocument technical data generated to substantiate assigned components, assemblies, systems,
