The position contributes to the development of project budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with expected performance.The role gathers, analyzes,



and consolidates financial data related to historical, current, and projected performance to support decision-making.
It provides insights into cost drivers, project spending, and operational variances, and highlights risks and opportunities.Working closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, the position ensures accurate cost tracking and supports adherence to financial processes and controls.
The role applies financial analysis techniques to recommend improvements and support financially sound decisions.Additionally, the position may provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior analysts, while continuously seeking to improve financial processes, reporting quality, and data integrity.What You'll DoProject financial planning and controlSupport development and maintenance of project budgets, forecasts and cash flow projectionsTrack actual project spend vs. budget and identify variancesMaintain financial models and provide updates on project progress and challengesCost Analysis and Manufacturing Finance SupportManage CapEx processes including authorization, tracking, reporting and compliance with corporate policiesAnalyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material and overhead variancesSupport operational teams with cost control, budgeting and spend analysisReporting, Close and Data AccuracyPrepare and support monthly, quarterly,



and year end financial reportingAssist with account reconciliations, inventory analysis, and CIP trackingEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial data in systemCapEx Support and Investment AnalysisManage CapEx planning, tracking and reporting processesAssist in preparation of investment analysis (ROI, payback, etc)Lead project expenditures and support capitalization activitiesFinancial Support, systems and continuous improvementMentor finance and cost analysist, ensuring high quality, timely financial supportCollaborate with Corporate Finance Mexico and US, IT, and Global Engineering Services on reporting, alignment and governanceLeverage ERP and planning tools (SAP S /4HANA, Essbase, etc) to enhance forecasting, reporting and analyticsQualificationsEducationBachelor's degreePublic Accountant, Finance, Costing.ExperienceControlling or Cost Accounting5+ years combined Manufacturing Accounting, Controller and/or Financial Planning, Project Controller.Lead financial evaluation of capital projects from concept to executionDevelop and validate business cases supporting investment decisionsStrong competencies in analysis, goal setting, quality focus, communication, interpersonal relations, teamwork, leadership, customer service and risk management.Strong knowledge in cost and SAP and Hyperion.LanguageAdvanced English.Other Qualifications And EducationCertification in Costing or/and Finance desirableDiploma Project Management preferredFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
