Hardware Engineer I
Responsible for supporting sustaining engineering activities for Allegion electro-mechanical locking products throughout their lifecycle. This role performs electronic engineering tasks including component evaluation and qualification, circuit analysis, PCB design modifications, and engineering documentation updates.



Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess, implement, and validate product improvements and engineering changes. The Hardware Engineer works closely with contract manufacturers and Allegion production facilities to coordinate the successful deployment of product design changes into production. The position partners with Quality and Manufacturing teams to investigate product and production issues, perform root cause analysis, develop corrective actions, and support implementation of containment and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Do:
Perform root cause analysis of product quality issues, customer complaints, and supplier-related concerns to identify containment actions, implement corrective actions, and recommend long-term solutions.
Evaluate and qualify alternative electronic components to mitigate supply chain risks and support cost reduction initiatives.
