This position drives strategic actions to reduce excess and obsolete inventory, improve inventory turns, optimize working capital, and establish sustainable inventory management processes across regions.The role partners closely with Planning, Procurement, Program Management, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and regional Supply Chain teams to identify inventory risks, define corrective actions, and drive measurable improvements in inventory performance.Primary ResponsibilitiesInventory Reduction LeadershipOwn global inventory reduction roadmap and annual inventory targets.Drive initiatives to reduce Days on Hand (DOH), GIR, excess inventory, and obsolete inventory.Lead cross-functional inventory review processes and governance cadence.Establish inventory reduction strategies based on root-cause analysis.Analytics & Risk ManagementAnalyze inventory trends, aging inventory, reserve exposure, excess inventory, and demand volatility.Identify inventory risks from:Forecast reductionsCustomer cancellationsEOL transitionsMOQ policiesLong lead-time materialsDevelop executive dashboards and KPI reporting.Inventory OptimizationDefine inventory policies and stocking strategies.Support ABC-XYZ segmentation deployment.Optimize:MOQ settingsSafety stockReplenishment parametersConsignment opportunitiesLead-time strategiesProgram & Process LeadershipLead global inventory improvement projects.Coordinate inventory actions with regional inventory champions.Drive standard work and governance processes.Develop sustainable inventory management practices that prevent future excess creation.Stakeholder ManagementPartner with: Supply Chain Leadership, Demand Planning, Procurement, Product Managers, Finance, Manufacturing, SalesCommunicate inventory risks and mitigation plans to executive leadership.Key Performance IndicatorsDays on Hand (DOH)Inventory TurnsGIR ReductionExcess Inventory Reduction ($)Obsolete Inventory Reduction ($)Reserve Reduction ($)Working Capital ImprovementForecast AlignmentInventory Action Closure RateJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field.8+ years of Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory, Materials Management, or SIOP experience.Strong SAP, IBP Supply, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and analytics capabilities.Demonstrated experience leading inventory reduction programs.Strong cross-functional leadership and change management skills.Experience working in a integral manufacturing environment preferred.APICS CPIM Certified (preferred)Strong people & organizational leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills with ability to influence and convinceAbility to prioritize very well and maintain appropriate balance in a fast-paced, heavy-workload environmentPreferred ExperienceInventory optimizationSIOP/IBPExcess and obsolete inventory managementSupply chain analyticsInventory governanceWorking capital improvement programsLocation: Hermosillo, Sonora.CompetenciesSET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)
