**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- _Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of period close, required reports, and journal entries to create and support processes that meet required company deadlines. _
- _Create and enter journal entries with supporting backup and file all JEs per policy. _
- _Perform balance sheet reconciliations monthly and analyze all reconciling items on a timely basis to determine root causes and provide corrective actions. _
- _Assist with SOX testing quarterly and bi-annually. _
- _Prepare SOX-compliant documentation for all activities. _
- _Provide support and assistance with audits (internal, SOX, tax, etc.) _
- _Communicate with Business Managers and aid and guidance for requests related to accounting functions, policies, and procedures. _
- _Drive effective accounting solutions that improve the company’s standard of excellence. _




- _Other inquiries and duties as assigned.**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS**
- _BA/BSc in Business with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance _
- _Understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting concepts and principles. _
- _2-3 years relevant experience**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- _Must be independent and able to work in a team-based environment to meet monthly deadlines and goals. _
- _Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail. _
- _Willing to work the hours necessary to enable the business to continually exceed expectations. _
- _Ability to juggle several time-sensitive projects simultaneously. _
- _Exposure to enterprise resource planning software. Exposure to HFM and SmartView is a plus._
