As an Automation Engineer you will play a pivotal role in driving our automation and controls projects within the manufacturing and assembly areas. Your expertise in programming, electrical adjustments, and mechanical design proposals will be instrumental in enhancing production efficiency and throughput, aligned with our innovation and transformation objectives.
**Our Team**
Join our dynamic team based in Guadalajara Sur, where you will collaborate with various departments including Quality, Maintenance, Planning, IT, and Human Resources. You will report to the Automation Superintendent and work closely with suppliers and equipment installers to deliver successful automation projects. Our team is dedicated to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
**What You Will Do**
- Lead the startup and commissioning of automation and control projects related to assembly and molding operations.
- Provide operational support, programming, troubleshooting, and improvement for systems like press automation, MIR, DAIFUKU, and Motan.
- Align with the IT team to ensure proper network and platform configurations for automation projects.
- Program and parameterize material handling MIR robots.
- Collaborate with suppliers and quality departments to ensure successful installations and quality releases of automation equipment.
- Support maintenance and manufacturing departments during critical failures.
- Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and improve them through effective automation solutions.
- Train maintenance technicians and engineers in troubleshooting automation technologies.




- Plan upcoming automation builds and launches.
- Maintain updated documentation for troubleshooting and project management.
**Who You Are (Basic Requirements)**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Consistent laboral experience as automation engineer, with expertise in equipment integration, machine building, and/ or controls.
- Strong understanding and interpretation of electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- English proficiency (able to speak, write and read)
- Individual with a strong capability in project management, demonstrating leadership and accountability.
**What Will put you Ahead**
- Background in Automotive field will be a strong plus.
- Proficiency preferably with Allen Bradley machinery and familiarity with sensors, actuators, motors, as well as manufacturing processes.
- Experience in programming vision systems (Cognex and Keyence) and manipulation of robots (EPSON, FANUC, Yaskawa).
