As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, modeling, analyzing, and characterizing high-quality enclosures for our Connected Mobility Solutions business unit. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge automotive-grade USB and Wireless Charger products, from concept to high-volume production.

Our team includes cross-functional experts in electrical engineering, manufacturing integration, program management, and more, all supported by world-class test laboratories, R&D; model shops, and manufacturing plants. What You Will Do:
- Develop injection-molded and cast aluminum enclosures for automotive-grade USB chargers and Wireless Chargers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and electrical engineering teams to create cost-competitive, high-performance designs that are efficient to manufacture.
- Deliver technical leadership by guiding less-experienced team members and driving multiple New Product Development (NPD) projects forward.




- Engage with global cross-functional teams and external customers to strategize design concepts and present detailed product requirements.
- Support manufacturing and quality assurance teams during product launches, including opportunities to travel to manufacturing sites.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Product Design Engineering with demonstrated technical leadership.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably NX, and the ability to interpret 2D engineering prints.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design processes for injection molding, metal stamping, insert molding, and die-cast components.
- Experience with engineering documentation, including DFMEAs, DFM, and DOE, and conducting tolerance analysis studies.
What Will Put You Ahead:
- 8+ years of experience designing electromechanical products in the automotive industry.
- Expertise in automotive design processes, including DFMEA, DOE, and 8D problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience modeling and prototyping in challenging environments.
- Knowledge of plastic/elastomer materials, decorative surfaces, and plastic secondary operations.
- Proven ability to provide technical support during the manufacturing process to resolve design-related challenges.
