**What You'll Do?**
As a Production Group Leader, you will be responsible for optimizing the use of personnel, materials, and equipment to meet production goals. You will lead and support Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes, participate in launch and pilot activities, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. You will also play a key role in developing high-performing teams and mentoring Group Leaders.
**Responsibilities**
- Motivate, train, and develop employees using standardized methods.
- Ensure team members receive adequate Job Instruction Training (JIT).
- Effectively manage personnel, materials, and equipment.
- Participate in the training, development, and evaluation of hourly team members.
- Implement systems to prevent recurrence of known issues.
- Promote safe work practices and meet ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping objectives.
- Achieve production schedules and product requirements using lean manufacturing/synchronous principles.
- Focus on variation reduction, cost control, and productivity improvements.
- Coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders.
- Maintain awareness of quality standards and communicate department quality goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, union representatives, and management.
- Administer National and Local Agreements between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.

**Work Appropriately**
- **On-Site**: This position requires full-time on-site work.
- Shift Schedule: 4x3 (100% on-site work)
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or any related field or experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing personnel.
- Intermediate English.
- Availability to rotate shifts (4x3)
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in manufacturing plant environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing and developing personnel
