Flash Charger Infrastructure Engineer

Description

This position will be responsible for coordinating infrastructure construction, electrical and civil works, equipment installation, and site execution, ensuring that each project meets BYD's technical, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

The role will work closely with design firms, EPC contractors, construction companies, dealers, site owners, suppliers, and BYD's technical teams, managing projects from initial site assessment through construction acceptance and handover to the Commissioning and O&M; teams.

The adecuado candidate is a hands-on engineering professional with strong field execution capabilities, experience managing contractors and construction activities, and the ability to solve technical issues in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the infrastructure construction and equipment installation of BYD Flash Charging stations in Mexico.

Conduct detailed site surveys to evaluate site conditions, electrical capacity, civil works, equipment installation requirements, and potential technical risks.

Coordinate with design companies, EPC contractors, construction companies, dealers, suppliers, and site owners throughout project execution.

Review and follow up on:

Construction drawings

Equipment layouts

Electrical installations

Civil works

Cabling

Engineering solutions and technical specifications

Follow up on quotations, construction schedules, material availability, site preparation, construction activities, and equipment installation.

Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with required quality, progress, safety, and technical standards.

Identify, coordinate, and resolve technical and operational issues arising during construction and equipment installation.





Communicate with BYD Headquarters technical teams and local suppliers to ensure compliance with BYD technical requirements and applicable Mexican regulations.

Monitor project progress and provide regular updates regarding construction status, costs, risks, and open issues.

Maintain accurate project documentation and construction records.

Complete construction acceptance and coordinate the handover of completed charging stations to the Commissioning and O&M; teams.

Travel throughout Mexico and perform frequent fieldwork and on-site supervision as required.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree or above in:

Electrical Engineering

Civil Engineering

Electromechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Construction Engineering

Or a related engineering field

Experience

2+ years of professional experience in:

Construction

MEP / Electrical Installation

Field Engineering

Project Management

Infrastructure Projects

Experience with any of the following industries or projects is preferred:

EV Charging Stations

Electrical Infrastructure

Industrial Equipment

New Energy

Automotive

Experience with EPC projects, contractor management, power distribution, or electrical installation is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, construction plans,



and engineering documentation.

Knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design software is preferred.

Ability to use Excel for:

Construction progress tracking

Cost tracking

Issue management

Project reporting

Understanding of construction processes, electrical installations, and project execution.

Ability to coordinate technical documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.
